The Shirzan Podcast

The Heartbeat of Persian Femininity

Shirzan is a Farsi word that directly translates to lioness. It means to be a brave woman. It's an adjective that is used differently from generation to generation. This podcast is on a mission to document the stories, wisdom and ultimate braveries displayed by the women of the Persian diaspora. Women who raised their families abroad, while acclimating to new cultures and sometimes starting careers later in life. These Persian women are the glue of the communities and families that are ranked among the top most educated and successful immigrants. We are here interviewing Persian women from ordinary citizens to professionals and celebrities, with a goal of passing on a deep feminine wisdom that can often be lost on young women in the modern world.

This podcast will be held in Farsi both to honor the culture and to allow each guest to fully express themselves in their first language. We hope to re-release it in English for a wider audience in the future.
